The story of the Mill

The story of the Mill
The history of this ancient home begins in 1789, the year of the French Revolution, when wandering warriors, escaping famine, built the village mill using river stones. Farmers would arrive with cartloads of grain, and the grain would be ground into flour using the river’s freed stream, and everyone would celebrate the ritual of baking bread together. Two centuries later, until the 1950s, following the economic boom and the depopulation of the countryside, this vital hub of the rural community has now been converted into a bed and breakfast. The conversion, carried out according to the strictest standards of conservative restoration, lasted approximately six years. This house called to me, asking me to bring back to life those beautiful convivial moments where joys and sorrows were shared in a welcoming and peaceful community. I responded, making great sacrifices but also gaining much satisfaction. It’s a huge pleasure for me now to host people who can enjoy this place, its serenity and tranquility, that of a mill that tells its story if you know how to listen.
Welcome to Mulini Venturi, observe, rejoice, smile, breathe.
